Why Choose Weston's

In the state of Ohio, anyone can become licensed to be a tow company by purchasing a vendor's license through the state government. However, that does not mean that the company is fully licensed and insured. You may see trucks driving without logos on their doors, or "Not for Hire" labels on the trucks. Those trucks are more than likely not insured to tow vehicles "For Hire". What does this mean for you? Potentially nothing, until they get into an accident with your vehicle secured to their truck, or damage your vehicle while loading or unloading. This could potentially leave you without a vehicle and with no one to pay for the repairs.

There are two numbers that need to be displayed on every tow truck in Ohio to be legal to tow vehicles "For Hire". USDOT numbers are renewed annually and guarantee that at the time of the inspection, the truck was deemed safe to drive down the road. This inspection ensures that the trucks have all working lights, safe brake components, safe tire tread depth, among many other requirements. PUCO numbers guarantee that the company that owns the truck currently has the proper insurance coverage on their tow trucks. The state has minimum requirements for commercial insurance liabilities that have to be proven in order to obtain the PUCO number for the truck.

We are a small company, so by no means do we want to discourage other small companies from starting up; however, there are certain requirements that need to be met. If you are on this site, that means you are more than likely pricing a roadside service or a tow. We try to keep our pricing as competitive as possible with all other fully legitimate, licensed, and insured tow companies. If you find a company that seems like it is a price that is too good to be true, then unfortunately, you are probably right. Feel free to run the risk of the cheaper tow, but for your sake, please look at the tow truck when it arrives and look for the DOT and PUCO numbers. We do everything by the book and have had zero damage claims or accidents while towing. If you choose Weston's, you are able to relax knowing that if something unfortunate were to happen during the tow, then your vehicle is covered and safe.

Don't stress, call the BEST!
